For the third consecutive year, GET-AHED was proudly represented at the EAIR 47th Annual Forum, held this year in Utrecht, the Netherlands. The forum, themed „Openness: A Mission Challenged“, provided an ideal platform to share the project’s latest developments with the international higher education community.
In two complementary sessions, Verena Régent and Egor Burda, Senior Researchers at WPZ Research, presented interim results and offered insights into the GET-AHED research process. They highlighted the co-creative methodology used to develop the GET-AHED Sustainability Self-Assessment Tool and its indicators. This approach actively involved higher education institutions as future end users throughout the 10-step indicator development process, including an external expert review across 32 European HEIs.
During the sessions, Verena and Egor also promoted the upcoming Final GET-AHED Conference, scheduled for October 20–21, 2025, in Cork, Ireland (hybrid format). The conference, titled „Advancing Sustainability in the Higher Education Sector“, will bring together stakeholders to explore strategies for fostering sustainability in higher education.
