GET-AHED Marks Successful Completion with Official Launch of the Green Uni Toolbox

The GET-AHED project concluded its three-year collaboration with a final online meeting bringing together around 25 participants from across Europe. The event gathered not only project partners, but also representatives of associate partners, higher education institutions (HEIs), national ministries, representatives of national and international associations for higher education researchers, and the project’s EU Project Officer.

The highlight of the meeting was the official launch of the Green University Toolbox: https://green-uni-toolbox.eu/

The platform represents the central outcome of the GET-AHED project and provides higher education institutions with practical tools, resources, and guidance to advance sustainability, climate action, and institutional transformation. Developed through close cooperation between partners and stakeholders, the Green University Toolbox is designed to support universities and universities of applied sciences in embedding sustainability across governance, teaching, research, and campus operations.

During the meeting, participants were introduced to the platform’s structure and functionalities, discussed its potential for wide-scale adoption, and reflected on the project’s achievements and lessons learned. The diverse perspectives represented –  from policy, institutional leadership, and European networks – underlined the relevance of GET-AHED’s results beyond the project consortium.

With the launch of the Green University Toolbox, GET-AHED leaves a lasting legacy: an openly accessible, practice-oriented resource supporting higher education institutions across Europe in their green transition.
